Way back in the late 80s and early 90s, Dan Cofer had the
honor
of being part of the legendary radio satire programme known as Dogtown City Limits. In
this
case, the word "satire" was interpreted to mean "comedy that's not
really
very funny".
Heard by practically no one at the time of its original
broadcasts,
and largely unavailable for almost twenty years, the Dogtown show has
since
acheived legendary status among the erudite and well-to-do.
A choice selection of sketches from the show have recently become
available on-line,
through
the hard work and boredom of Dogtown City Limits
co-writer/producer/performer Damon
Fries. Now, audiences
may thrill anew to the antics of the Dogtown cast of characters and to
hear
Dan Cofer do a horrible Scottish accent, voice the world's worst David
Carradine
impersonation
and
play many characters named "Stan".
